NHRA
Unleashed will be a televised “interactive” event that celebrates Pure
American Horsepower. These events will feature entertaining “doorslammer”
drag racing action including Pro Mods, Outlaw Street Cars, Heads-Up Class
Racing, True Street Cars and special exhibition runs. The NHRA Unleashed
events will be actual race events with an entry fee, purse payout, and a NHRA
“Wally” to the winners. Along with the drag racing, fans will be rewarded
with a huge manufacturer’s midway with a number of interactive displays, a car
show featuring all makes of muscle cars, and an automotive swap meet for those
who like hunting for that special fender or carburetor.
In
keeping with the interactive theme, the NHRA Unleashed event will offer an
autocross course, at select venues, where fans can race their own cars against
the clock. For those who don’t want to test the limits of their everyday
transportation but still have the need for speed, these events will offer a go
kart venue where fans can rent a kart for sessions around the tight slalom
course. These family friendly events will also have a Kid’s Zone with
inflatables and other children’s activities to entertain the future NHRA drag
racers, while mom and dad inspect and judge some of the show cars. Yes, the
fans attending these events will judge the cars by texting their votes on
their cell phones. During the two day event, a number of seminars will be held
covering various aspects of muscle car restoration and high performance
secrets. A center stage will be set up to provide a venue for the television
hosts to interview the drag racing stars and their families, show car owners,
manufacturers of automotive products and of course spectators attending the
event.
The
commitment of NHRA Unleashed is to provide a sensory overload for competitors
and fans of Sportsman drag racing, muscle car enthusiasts, car show exhibitors
and high performance automotive fans of all ages. The Disrupt/ive television
crew will be documenting every aspect of these events, to highlight the
excitement and lifestyle of National Hot Rod Association competitors and fans.
